Eleanor Carter

Carter's background is in Illustration and design, working in this field for a number of years, creating commercial art work for a range of clients. She is broadening her practice which has led her to creating abstract pieces using mixed media. Carter loves the spontaneity, energy and self expression that she can capture in this fluid way of working. She is also very grateful, to teach in the F.E sector, learning from students and supporting them in their artistic development. Carter is looking to run adult workshops in the future, experimental drawing and painting along with basic printmaking techniques.

The following pieces are all inspired by the sea. Each piece represents the physical and spiritual experience of swimming in the sea.

'I feel a sense of awe and restoration, together with the beauty of the colors and energy of the water around me. I then attempt to translate this onto paper through a very spontaneous creative process allowing God to work through me.'
