How do you think the COVID-19 Pandemic has influenced your art practice?

Coming home after COVID hit forced me to stay in the space for the longest time since moving away. Since we couldn't go outside anywhere my neighborhood walks became really important to me and I even started walking around just my house during lockdown. But thats what made me fall in love with the physical space around me and all the moments that happen in it. I wouldn't have made work about this space if I hadn't been forced to spend so much time in it.

Do you think that you will ever have a permenant home? Do you think you will want a permenant home?

I think I will have a permanent home one day. Although I see it happening years from now, I know it will happen. Honestly I do really want that to happen but when it does I don't think I can even imagine what it would feel like. I just know I'm looking forward to it.

What infuenced you to create images reflecting on this idea, in this way?

Most of my work starts from me working through my personal issues and emotions. I like to draw that out when making art and I guess it becomes very autobiographical because of that. This series started from my need to capture what my space felt like as I walked around in it. I never knew it would become the main aspect of my practice I just started doing it for myself and to preserve my memory.
