I can't help but notice that all the faces within these pieces have been obstructed. Is there any particular reason for this?

The faces are obstructed mainly necause of the loss of idenitity and the ambiguity I feel within myself and choices.
 


You say that you're an activist, is there a topic you're very interested in at the moment?

At the moment, mental health and body embodiement of mental illness is crucial to my research and activism projects. I was working with Together Disability Month for their campaign recently.
 


Which artists have inspired you to be where you are now?

As for my artist inspirations, definitely Francesca Woodman and Jenny Saville, the way they portray the body is really interesting to me.
 


You say you're interested in ethics and philosohpy, which books have heavily impacted your practice?

 

The books have heavily impacted my practice are probably be Unbearable weight Book by Susan Bordo, Being a body and having a body. The twofold temporality of embodied intentionality by Maren Wehrle and more classic works of Camus and Sartre.
